Berry #3...

Trade up to #20 and draft either Bradford or Clausen (whichever one falls)

3rd straight year drafting top 5..

No matter who we pick, I think its about time we drafted an immediate imact player.

LT.

Get Albert to guard where he belongs.

I know ND fans who insist that Clausen isn't a stud prospect.

Yeah, but can you imagine our lines like this?

LT- Okung (1st rounder)
LG- Albert (1st rounder)
C- 1st rounder
RG- 1st rounder
RT- 1st rounder

DE- Dorsey (1st rounder)
NT- 1st rounder
DE- Jackson (1st rounder)

Your hogs control the line of scrimmage and if we built a team out of that kind of talent we'd be unstoppable!!!

No shit.

Why draft Claussen when Tebow will be sitting there?

BigMeatballDave 01-01-2010 01:56 PM

We can 'consider' it all we want, but the Chiefs' Brain(less) trust won't do it.

Sweet....another Clausen thread.

I'm not crazy about Clausen either, but your love for Cassel is unhealthy...

Only on board the Clausen wagon if we can get him in the 2nd without moving up. Otherwise, too much invested in something that won't pay off, if at all, for a few years. Too big a splash and we're inviting another Warner/Leinart situation and Cassel's no Warner.

Yes, and it would be so cool if the previous ones matured into their capability. Dorsey is close, now come on TJ. Are they going to fatten him up, and make him a NT?

Ok, in all seriousness, what do you mean by "too big a splash"?

The Leinart comparison doesn't hold up well b/c here is a QB that was drafted by another regime and then didn't function as well in a downfield passing offense.

Ironically, we've already acquired our Leinart, a QB who doesn't fit the system. Now we need to look for our Warner.

And I don't think there's such a thing as too big of an investment when we're talking about getting a legit franchise QB, assuming Pioli would believe Clausen could become this.
