Mike Cox rated 21st in the NFL for FBs by profootballfocus.com

I like Tony Richardson, but he is ranked 28th.

Also think that Mike is improving each game.

Mike was signed to a 2 year undrafted free agent contract in 2008, so I think he must be either a ERFA or a RFA this off-season.

Hope he fits in with the Chiefs future plans,

He's a god-awful blocker, though, and it's pretty obvious watching the games. He was GIF'D UP plenty this year.

He's got a strange set of talents. Great hands and no athleticism. NFL body but not strong at the POA.

I agree with this assessment from some of his previous games. I thought he did much better in this game. He did not blast LBs but he got in their way, moved them some, and allowed Charles to move through the hole. He then moved down field and continued to engage in blocks.

So are you saying he's not worth keeping?

I think he's a pretty awful blocker who has very good hands. If he could run or was tall there'd be a place for him. Does Haley need a backup fullback?

I thought the whole offensive game plan, minus the Castille pass to Cassel was very good. They used two TEs and held them in to help with blocking. They sometimes released the TE for good yardage, so Denver could not key just on the run.

Maybe the game plan, plus blocking for Charles, really elevated the FB play.

It would be interesting to know what Jamaal Charles thinks of the blocks he received by Mike. I think Mike really helped.

Cox did a good job of leading on that one play where JamaalPro went into the endzone untouched.

It was a case of very deep Cox penetration.

Castile and cox are high quality fb's that help Charles break loose, and can both find the endzone. Good players to have around

Cox has size too!
