The Jets, Lions, and Browns are the only teams left that we can make fun of.

Two. The Jets have Sanchez.

I'd be excited to see the Lions win one. They're my NFC team. Started with watching Sanders on Thanksgiving day, and never went away.

But when the Chiefs win, I swear to god I will curl into the fetal position for two days sobbing uncontrollably. I will cry tears of joy to the point I become dehydrated and paramedics are forced to course Pedialyte through my veins via IV. Dick Vermeil will tell me to lay off the tears.

The Saints victory gives me hope. That organization was in a world of hurt not long ago. They overcame a flood of biblical proportion, the eradication of their fan base, the loss of their home field, and the threat of permanently losing the entire franchise. And, even though it would be a significantly greater accomplishment, we should be able to overcome Herm and Carl.

So does something bad have to happen before KC gets a SB win?

I will have to undergo surgical repair of my vocal chords because of the screaming and drunken sobbing that will surely take place following the Chiefs SB victory. I may even get a terrible tattoo while in a drunken stupor to commemorate the once in a life time occurrence.

I will not drink a drop during the SB if the Chiefs are in it. I want to remember every play with diamond-like clarity.

Afterward I'd love to go to the P&L district and lose myself. But during the game, no way. :-)

But, I do have some optimism building for this franchise. Maybe not next year, but in two years, I expect us to be in the playoffs and very competitive.

That would be nice, but I'm still not going to hold my breath.

If the Chiefs aren't at least in the playoffs in two years, than we need to put the whole team in the FAIL thread. :cuss:

ForeverChiefs58 02-08-2010 07:20 AM

They SHOULD be competative THIS year. Anything less than .500 is FAIL!

Actually the Chargers should be the depressed ones. They had two SB winning QBs in their midst and lost both.

welllll its obvious King Carl should have picked Payton over Herm but at least King Carl can never hurt us again...wellll at least till we make up for all of his and his cronies failed draft picks and FA signings.
