Same here with Firefox, I type in 'o', and the first thing that comes up is Omaha World Herald. I'm guessing that doesn't happen in Kansas City.

That was sort of what I was asking in my question. In the past, Safari has kept my searches somewhat local. You may have to consider that.

A lot of people don't use the address bar of their browser, they just Google everything. So....

Yeah, I think it's not exactly "local" as it is adaptive based on your search history. The list I'm using now is clearly a true and unmodified list.

I have noticed that occasionally things will pop up that I've previously searched for, but I've never googled Omaha World Herald. If I'm looking for something from them I just go directly to their website.
