Here's the key, though:

The degree of separation on that list between 1 and 10 isn't all that demonstrable.

It's one of the many reasons why RBs are overvalued.

True.

The only thing that is clear is that Knowshon Moreno sucks.

You seriously think Cedric Benson is better than Jamaal Charles?

My ranking is based on the number of games played as well as productivity.

Benson has played more games, and had some productive games in his first two seasons.

I think Charles is better than just about every one on that list, but until he does it over time, I ranked him where I think his production and games played combined, should have him ranked.

KCrockaholic 07-25-2010 05:23 PM

Lol. I only laugh at the people that don't know who Jamaal Charles is.

They will see this year.

Benson has 3.8 YPC over his "productive" career.

I dont know why Ray Rice is so low on some peoples rankings. 2000 yards from scrimmage last year. Runs great and can turn chicken shit into chicken pot pie. I don't think he should be any lower than 5 on any ranking.

CupidStunt 07-25-2010 05:27 PM

Benson and Ricky over Charles.

Did you miss the part where I said "in his first two seasons"?

He averaged over 4 yards a carry.

Had a couple of down season, but bounced back last year.

And once again, I only rank Charles that low because he has to prove it over time.

I am in the Charles bandwagon.

I have been since he was drafted.

But I am not simply going to crown his ass because I think he can be one of the top 3 RBs in the NFL.

He has to prove it over time.

milkman 07-25-2010 05:34 PM

Anyone remember Tony Reed?

Have to see what this full season brings .. but I think Charles should be in the top 10 if plays like last season ....

Tony Reed...that guy ran for 3,000 yards ever year. 2,000+ yards east/west and less than 1,000 north/south. Guy should have been a linebacker...great speed sideline to sideline.

I'm going to have to look up his stats, but he had a decent rookie season win which he ran for about 500 yards and averaged over 4 yards a carry in half a season, and had what looked to be a breakout second season when he ran for over a thousand yards and close to 5 yards a carry.

Then he just dropped off a cliff.

milkman 07-25-2010 05:54 PM

Okay, here it is.

This is why one needs to produce over time.

I thought that kid was going to be a star.
