Back in the early 90's, I lived up in the Bay Area and worked in Berkeley, not too far from Oakland.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't think Oakland is a complete sink hole.

Hootie, they will kill you if you conduct yourself in a similar fashion as you do on this board. Don't wear any Chiefs gear and keep your mouth shut. I've been to a KC/Oak game(Leggett returned a botched fake field goal for a TD) trust me on this.

Based off of what I'm hearing, I'll just not wear any Chiefs gear...

Should I just stay in San Fran and commute to Oakland the day of the game or...?

What's my best option (other than waiting a month for San Diego which isn't a possibility for me)

Yeah, definitely stay in San Francisco, if possible. It's one of the most amazing cities in the world and you definitely need to check it out if possible.

OTOH, if San Fran is one of the top cities in the world, Oakland is its exact opposite.
