Lake Tahoe is awesome, if you've never been there I'd highly recommend it. Plus you'll be keeping your $ in the U.S.

Went ahead and discussed with the mrs as I also found out out we can stay at Harrah's Casino Lake Tahoe for 6 nights for only $79 thanks to our total rewards.:hmmm:

We both enjoy a little gambling plus I can bet on NFL and watch all the games :D

Decisions,decisions

That's like 2 hours from me. My game room sucks compared to yours though.

IMHO Tahoe sucks. Water's too cold to enjoy, and the casinos are full of bluehairs.

I got married in Tahoe many years ago. There used to be a little place there call Dory's Oar that had some great KING Crab legs and Huge Lobsters. If you like seafood you should see if this palce is still around.

According to my research Harrah;s also owns Harvey's(which is connected) that has a Sammy Hagar Cabo Wabo bar,I can't imagine too many bluehairs hanging out there.

Wife & I went to Sandals - Bahamian. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and well worth the trip.

LOL I looked at the menu and didn't even see crab legs listed. Things could change in 20 year. They do have steak on the menu.

I attended a convention in Tahoe in 2003. Aside from those of us at the convention (all under 40) everyone else appeared to be 50+.

You CAN see the worlds largest solid gold cock at the Nugget.

We're thinking now about combining an Anniversary and New Year's Eve trip together to make it more affordable and have the same offer in Vegas at any Harrah's property,5 nights free and under $100 for the 6th.

Don't want to do Caesar's or Paris, just not our style, but looking at Rio or Planet Hollywood.Take in a show or two and hit The Hilton sportsbook for all the NFL action.

Rio is nice, and you get free transportation to the strip. Great seafood buffet Friday nights.

TIA

I took a carnival cruise w/ my gf's family a year ago. It was a blast, left Miami, went to San Juan, then dom repub, then BVI, then Nassau (where Atlantis resort is) then back to Miami. 7 day cruise.

dont know if cruises are your thing, but it was fun going. Not too expensive

We've stayed at both a Sandals (Montego Bay) and Beaches (Negril). Mo Bay was nice, but Negril was awesome. Highly recommend either of them.
