I doubt that Moeaki will reach HOF status (not because he's not a good player already, but HOF is rare and unique). It's clear however that if healthy, he'll be one of the better tight ends in the NFL.

Hopefully he won't need to be. There were too many years where it was Gonzo and nobody else. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather Moeaki be the Novacek to Bowe's Irvin and Charles's Emmitt than be the next Tony Gonzalez...

(We'll just steer clear of the Aikman/Cassel comparison for now)

Congrats to client TE Tony Moeaki for breaking team record held by Tony G for most receptions and yards by a rookie TE

Very cool...didn't see this for Tony at the beginning of the season.

Yeah, but he was a rockstar on the Carl Peterson radio show.

Moe is still 1 kick blocked behind Gonzo

Heh. I still have a Popson jersey. I keep waiting for the Chiefs to have a significant player wear #48, but it seems like the number is cursed now.

Good for Mo!

However, the only reason TG didnt put up better numbers in '97 was due to Marty's reluctance to play rookies.

MMXcalibur 12-06-2010 12:10 PM

Yay!

LaChapelle 12-06-2010 12:38 PM

We knew from the begining he would end up breaking something

HotRoute 12-06-2010 12:48 PM

Would love to see this guy have a long productive career in KC, if he continues to be at least comparable to Tony G I will be happy.

When Chiefspants was telling a friend of ours about this he thought he was trollin'.

Moeaki is good, that much is clear. Hope to see him for many years to come!

Also, he had a pretty bad case of the drops that year, IIRC.

Nice...

Iowa Hawkeyes are never impact players in the NFL [/_ _ _ _ _ _]

I told you on draft day you would like Moeaki.
