Blah. He could have thrown darts at his draft board and done better.

Will be voted:

MVP: Cassel
MLH: Berry

The San Diego debacle followed by the St. Louis apendectomy heroics i believe push Cassel out in front to the players.

Should be imo:

MVP: JC
MLH: Berry

JC has had a season for the ages, one that his ypc are so ridiculous that I would be adjusting sliders and difficulty levels in Madden while crying bs if I was to duplicate. If he was on the coast doing this he would be in national advertising spots.

As for Berry, two words... Mike Brown. I just threw up in my mouth a bit.

I really want to vote for Charles as MVP, I really do, but I think after watching Croyle that Cassel really is MVP. He makes it all work. He is the srtaw that stirs the drink.
He does well Chiefs do well, he doesn't you know the rest of the story.

Berry is obviously MLH, but Lewis is a close second and Moeki a close 3rd.

How was it a good idea to lock out the same scouts that drafted everyone (minus Cassel) that is up for team mvp when the alternative is to flat out wing it?

Berry had the two early season hiccups in pass coverage, but he's been nothing but a beast since.

In my mind the rookie award shouldn't even be close.

Oh, and I didn't even mention his beastiness on STs.

I was thinking the same thing reading this thread. Nothing against Kendrick Lewis; he's definitely exceeded my expectations of him. But Berry is the runaway winner. It is not, or shouldn't be, a close race at all.

That's what I was thinking. I'm like Wow. Berry is turning in one of, if not the best rookie season for a safety ever.
Don't get me wrong KL is playing great, and I think he's gonna be a hell of a player, but Berry has been better by a looong shot.

Going by sheer numbers, it is a toss up between Cassel and Charles for MVP...so you have to look at intangibles. The last 2 weeks have shown Cassell to be the most improved, gutsy-est tough guy on the team. I think he'd have the edge, but I wouldn't have a problem giving it to Charles either.

Berry has done what a great rookie is supposed to do, start out slow but learn from all mistakes and improve. He's at beast level already and we have 2 games left. Kendrick has been solid, but he's not blowing shit up like Berry.

Moeaki has been fantastic, and it looks like he'll be a force for years to come...barring injury. Like Herm used to say (sorry, but I did agree with this one little nugget) your most important ability is AVAILability. Moeaki has the skills, but he missed 2 games. Not his fault, injuries happen, but it is what it is.

Edge to Berry. It's really not even close.

charles is having a historic season, I don't see how you can not give it to him. Where would the team be without him?

It's almost like they should have to split the award...

Agreed, it isn't even close.
