The most valuable player and the best player are 2 different things.

That's why I hate the MVP award in the NFL, because it must always go to the QB, because it's the team's most important position. The QB is a franchise's most valuable position because they handle every offensive snap.

The Chiefs MVP goes to Matt Cassel.
The Chiefs offensive POTY goes to Jamaal Charles.
The Chiefs defensive POTY goes to Derrick Johnson.
The Chiefs rookie POTY goes to Eric Berry.
The Chiefs newcomer POTY goes to Ryan Lilja

I agree with CoMo...adding Chiefs offensive Rookie of the year is Moeaki

I suppose I could agree with this, except I would have to split MVP between Cassel and Charles and give Bowe OPOTY.

easy, Charles. I don't think we'd be a playoff team without him, honestly.

Pioli Zombie 12-31-2010 07:01 PM

Honestly, its Cassel. Without him the Chiefs aren't a playoff team. Brodie Croyle? Yeah, right.

Gonzo 12-31-2010 08:24 PM

Cassel
Charles
Bowe
Jones
Lilja
Moeaki

not McCLuster

I would give my nod to Charles. Simply for the fact that I think he was the catalyst to help Cassel improve. He played well when Cassel was not. Charles has been the most consistent player all year long. Cassel has made the most improvement.

I can see the argument for Cassel because we had no alternative. We would not have a winning record if it weren't for him.

I can see either player being team MVP.

Cassel, Charles, Bowe. Toss up for me.

Berry has made more of a contribution.
