Ya. I use CBSSports' draft projections to get names and then I'll search them. They have Helu as a 7-UDFA. When I was looking at his report/numbers I was like, "Ok... No brainer. HIM!"

Then I started looking around and they are the only site that has him that low.

Everyone is pretty consistent on Anthony Allen though. He comes from GT, weird offense, he's big, doesnt shy away from contact, not too fast in a straight line, but his shuttle/3 cone times are right up there. I'd take him to replace Jones in the 7th.

Yeah, you're right: You just wasted 30 seconds of my time.

Thanks.

Wiegman is retiring.

As opposed to your other 31,000 posts, which I'm sure were valuable uses of your time.

I understand there's a fine line between being a douche and just being generally a stupid person, but you're hysterical.

A center in this draft, or via free agency if there is a free agent signing period, is an absolute must.

The more I read, the more I'm convinced this probably isn't the year for getting a center. Unfortunately. Not a whole lot in free agency, and what looks like a lackluster draft class.

They could use their 4th round pick on Brandon Fusco of Slippery Rock. He was the Division II lineman of the year and team captain.

By all accounts he showed a lot of improvement as the week went on at the Senior Bowl practices.

Monday Practice Notes: Fundamentally very sound yet really needs to improve his strength. Stays square and controls opponents but lacks the dominant base and at times was push back into the pocket.
Tuesday Practice Notes: A tough day was had by the small school prospect. Fusco was getting some stalemates against strong interior defenders, but he was not prepared for quicker opponents. He tried to overcompensate and was caught playing over his toes and reaching far too often.
Wednesday Practice Notes: Fusco has improved each day. While he was coached up about pad level once again, his timing off the snap was much better against higher rated defensive linemen. He was very strong in small areas and really bowed up against powerful interior defenders.
Analysis: Scouts were impressed with Fusco both on and off the field as they got a closer look at the Slippery Rock product. Coming from the Div.II level, the center admitted to being surprised by the quickness of his competition early in the week. He adjusted, continued to work very hard, and got better each practice. All good signs. His athleticism and ability to step off the snap also made him the best pure center prospect during the week (although the pivot class in Mobile was generally considered weak)

This. A thousand times.

I kind of like McElroy, though, as a developmental project.

He's kind of a similar player to what Brady was in college.

Now, notice I said -IN COLLEGE. I'm certainly not comparing him to Tom Brady in the NFL.

And you gotta love the smarts.

DaKCMan AP 03-03-2011 10:34 AM

Don't like McElroy. I thought he was garbage in college and won't amount to anything in the pros. I always felt he was the weak link on Alabama's team.

Ditto.

Unfortunately he fits the profile for the kind of QB I think we'd look for to a tee.

Gates is going to go in the late 2nd, early 3rd. No way he lasts til the late 4th.

What's hysterical is that you've become Voyager.

Or maybe you've been Voyager all along? :hmmm:

I don't know who that is, but I assume he was something who slapped his cock on you repeatedly throughout the forums.
