Weak F/A Class? Lol

If the 4 years players are allowed to walk un restricted, it should be one of the strongest classes in years.

The free agents are licking their chops! They'll be loaning money to Tiger soon.

Chief Roundup 07-15-2011 10:05 AM

I dont' know the numbers but wouldn't the last year of the rookies contracts that we are going to resign be fairly close to what their cap # would be in thier first year of the new contract.
Just saying that if our # was 83 mil including our own players that we now need or want to resign then we actuallly have more than the $20 mil to sign players.

Weak? You have all those 4 year restricted free agents available now instead of the 6 year guys. It's going to be an enormous free agency pool.

As much as I'd hate it, Franklin will likely be pursued. I'm hoping they go after Tyson Clabo from Atlanta to be the RT.

A line of Albert, Asamaoah, Hudson, Lilja and Clabo for the years to come would be awesome.

I'm good with Franklin. Not crazy about it.

With that line, JC will be ****ing raping.

ToxSocks 07-15-2011 11:20 AM

I'd be shocked to see Clabo. He wants to be the most expensive RT ever.

Demonpenz 07-15-2011 11:20 AM

bring in J.J. Stokes

88 bitchin about the Chiefs spending money again...I'm shocked. Not drafting and developing our own players well got the team in the position it was. The team is finally on the right track. Lock up the studs we do have and make a couple of nice complimentary signings.

There we go. Charlie Garner would be a nice addition, as well.

Breaston please

NFL payroll figures are like gallup poll results. It's all about how/who you ask the question & it can be bent to mean about anything you want it to

I, too, am hoping for a Tyson Clabo signing.
Along with Steve Breaston or James Jones at WR.
Maybe some help at MLB? Takeo Spikes? Barrett Ruud?
Aubrayo Franklin at NT?

ToxSocks 07-15-2011 11:42 AM

Breaston and McClain and I'll be pretty happy. We're not signing Clabo so it's not even worth thinking about.

Takeo Spikes would be a nice stop gap, but I think I'd rather give Belcher another year to see if he can take the next step.

It sounds sarcastic but it's not. I believe they have a 7.5 mill option due to him. Unless they cut him, that's a good 12.5 mill against the cap left. Hali and rookies should account for a good chunk of the remainder.
