Not many. Naïve children with no means of escape made easy targets for this monster. The details of the attack are really heartbreaking.

He brought a big box of ammo with him to the island. The kids helped him carry it onshore.

The killer: Anders Behring Breivik. Kind of looks like Stuart Smalley.

Unfortunately, there is no capital punishment in Norway. This guy doesn't deserve another breath.

They said this morning on the Today show the longest prison term for any crime in Norway was 21 years. I can't believe that. They must have a special clause for nut cases.

Right. I read the 21 year deal as well, but some Norwegian added this guy will get life because of some 'special clause.'

Sad story. Wife and I were in Oslo last March. Lovely city, very laid-back and peaceful and easygoing. They're just not prepared for stuff like this, and were definitely a "soft target". Sadly, life will never be the same for them.

Prisoners deemed a threat to society can be held for much longer. I'm guessing that's going to be the case with this guy.

It should also be noted that Norway's recidivism rate is remarkably low, probably due to their penal system's emphasis on rehabilitation over punishment. It turns out that when you treat people like humans, they're more likely to act like humans. Huh.

Anyway, they're probably going to make a special exception for this evil mother****er.

The Prime Minister seems to think if anything this will make the country more open, more democratic. Stark contrast to our own situation.
