Cassel has been at his best when the pressure has been light.
No way!

“Right now,” Haley said, “the onus falls on him because he has to make good decisions; he has to throw the ball where it’s supposed to go when he’s throwing it; he needs to run the offense.”
Didn't we trade for this guy partly because he would supposedly hit the ground running? Now we're in his third season of starting, and he still needs to learn to throw the ball where it's supposed to go, and run the offense? Man... that's telling...

Haley said the Chiefs need Cassel to play better but that he needs to do so without trying so hard.
Ummmm....

Quote:

Haley said one of the team’s priorities this week is to make Cassel understand that he’s responsible only for his own play — not for trying to keep up with a high-powered offense if the defense falters, as it did last Sunday in Detroit.
So.... our $63M QB can't even manage his own performance, let alone making the rest of the team better with his play. That's quite the confidence in your signal caller, coach...

Cassel said the responsibility of filling the voids left from injured players will best come not only from him, but from everyone. Haley concurred
Uhhh huh... so is there any attribute at all that we can rely on from Matt Cassel as an individual player? Is there anything that he specifically provides this team?

Certainly seems Haley is trashing Cassel there. He hasn't been making good decisions and hasn't been throwing the ball where it is supposed to go.

his comfort zone needs to be in retirement. Chiefs need Cassel to keep sucking so that we can get Luck.

I think that it’s really more of a collective effort that we’re trying to concentrate on right now because it’s not one area or any specific area that this team needs to work on. We need to fix a lot of different things and we’re working to do that.”

Listen to that jackass. Way to shirk responsibility you overpaid piece of poo.

Geez, that is friggin awful. He is really not good at this at all. The follow up question to me would have been "So, you are saying that you don't have any more responsibility than anyone else to right the ship on offense?"

I think Cassel's comfort zone is probably in the Lingerie Football League.

I'm not that bothered by Cassel's interceptions. A couple of those went off receivers hands. I am bothered by the fact that we can't throw the ball downfield. And by downfield, I mean anything beyond 10 yards. And our offense is dysfunctional as all hell.
