Yeesh. Just did the math.
I'd be 7-2 in my cash league in a roto format. I've been the high scorer twice, and lost to the high scorer three times. And a week I won H2H would have been my sole loss in a roto format. |

We still play hth so if you're 2nd highest point total and lose to the first you're still 0-1 but you get 10 points NOT a 10-1 record. Those weekly points then accumulate for all 17 weeks as does your hth record. Wow just reread that, what I meant to say is that 10 points looks better than a 10-1 record.Same concept but at least you're still playing to win in 2 seperate categories. |

The league I'm talking about has been together as a 12 team league since 2000 and we've only had one owner change and that was due to a death of one of the members during a deployment prior to the '08 season. Side note, but I still think it's kinda cool: We played the '08 season in memory of Jake with 11 owners and one auto drafted team and we took the entry fees ($2750 / $250 x 11 teams) and gave it to his family. |

This is one of the few years that this situation hasn’t happened to me – I typically have a bunch of points and shitty record, or vice versa. I’ve always advocated basing it on points.
I’ve never understood using head-to-head records to determine the overall winner – its not like you are building a defense and have any hope of affecting your opponent’s points. I suppose it does lend itself to the competition and shit-talking when you know the people in your league and watch the games with them every week. But it doesn’t seem right for someone to talk shit when they are 300 points behind and yet still have a better record. |

Ot the asshat that tries busting balls when his team full of starters beats yours with 3 of your best players on bye. |
