I think Orton's a mediocre starter but a fine back-up. I don't see how, given our current situation, that anyone could say this is a bad pick-up.
I still say we should start the kid regardless. |
So much for Barkley or RGIII or ...

Oh wait, we saw that in Denver already this season. |

I don't lie Orton much, but I do like this move. I feel like Orton is roughly equal to Cassel. That's not great, but it's certainly better than Palko. And next year, if the Chiefs decide to part ways with Cassel (fingers crossed), Orton will be a solid vet backup/mentor that comes at a much cheaper price than Cassel.

this is scary to think about |
Why?? This team will finish 6-10 if a miracle happens! Let's not try to develop Stanzi, no, let's sign a mediocre veteran and shoot for 7-9! Oooh, 7-9, what a season that would be... :banghead:
Orton won't be a back up here next season. He'll be a starter if Cassel is not. Damn. Just... damn. |

https://twitter.com/#!/evansilva/sta...92062150815744 Eh, **** him. He'll get a chance to throw to some pretty good WRs and build his stock up a hell of a lot more than he would have in Denver. Maybe he shouldn't have insisted on a re-structured contract and that Miami deal could've gone through. Beggers can't be choosers, Kyle. We need the help at QB to see what we have on this team. Dunno what to tell ya, sport. |
