No you ****ing idiot.

He impressed me in the Playoffs last year, but I'd like to see more. Those last two 4th quarter drives for TDs in the NFC Championship game were all him. I wouldn't discount a playoff winner.

Yes, because he was a #1 overall pick, selected before Aaron Rodgers. That guarantees that he is better than Rodgers (sarcasm, sarcasm, sarcasm).

No. Prior to this year, I always thought about NFL fanbases who hate their QB more than we hate Matt Cassel. Alex Smith was the first to cross my mind. San Fransiscans were totally fed up with this dude leading into this year... and most of them still are.

Yes, anyone over Cassel

nychief 03-16-2012 01:15 PM

I don't know if there is much difference between Cassel and Smith...

I assume you mean the game against the Saints, not the NFC Championship. In that case, how was the bootleg for a td "all him"? If anything, that should be credited to Harbaugh and his uncanny play calling.

Not really. Most of them want him back after last year.

Agree with the rest of the post, though.

I think we should sign him. It would be a great signing.

You say this, yet Tim Tebow is also a playoff winner. You wouldn't discount him? (You better because this board will eat you alive if you don't)

yes....if you want a very similar qb to mark catle, alex is your guy

kcxiv 03-16-2012 05:17 PM

Ill take Smith for a stopgap. Cassel i dont ever want to see qb'ing this team again. At least in the play offs last year. Smith went toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers and won. He made plays in a big game at the end of the game to win. He made big throws.

Cassel? no chance he makes them throws in crunch time.
