Election years and leap years, baby! This is good mojo on our side!
Congrats to all the KU fans. Rock Chalk. I'm taking the kids to the Fieldhouse tonight. |
Still can't believe just how much of a lift the team got from Elijah hitting that three. Everyone just went next level on Roy's bunch, amazing stuff.

I'll admit I never saw this season coming. I knew we could be quite good but when you lose the five guys like KU did, you just don't come back and win the conference yet again, go 31-6 and make the Final Four. Not to mention you might also have the POTY in T-Rob? Bill Self's best coaching job to date and he has been a ELITE coach for quite some time now.

Kenpom hasn't released his final four odds yet, but with only 4 teams left, it is not difficult to do the math.
KU's odds against: Kentucky: 37.78% tOSU: 37.78% Louisville: 63.58% Louisville's odds against either tOSU or Kentucky: 25.8% Kentucky vs tOSU: 50/50 tossup (both have same pythag, and its a neutral site) Given that, you can calculate all the possible outcomes and reach this for national champion odds: Kentucky: 40.53% tOSU: 34.99% Kansas: 16.79% Louisville: 7.69% Although Kentucky and tOSU are rated roughly evenly by kenpom, Kentucky has the better odds because Kansas is tougher to beat than Louisville. |
Self and the team deserved this. There were a lot of doubters, but I figured this team was about the 3rd or 4th best team in the country when they played to their potential. I'm not sure they're better than either UK or OSU going forward, but at this point anything is really possible. Let's win it all.
