Am I missing something?

The rumor about Bowe signing his tender specifically mentions the Chiefs interest in Michael Floyd.

La Canfora simultaneously says the rumor about Bowe is NOT true but that the Chiefs ARE interested in Floyd?

Weird, weird, weird.

This confirms it.....never listen to a guy who has one eye looking in the opposite direction

I'll say this: it would speak volumes about what we plan to do with Bowe.

Draft Floyd. Trade Bowe to NE for one of their 1sts.

Draft Konz.

Pray for a QB

Nothing to see here...move along, move along.

This would be one of the few players that I would be genuinely surprised to see KC draft.

Another breaking story hrs before the draft. I wonder how much $ the media gets to drop rumors to the public.
Much like on game day to persuade betting on one team or another its a big business money to be made at all angles of NFL.

Floyd is a bad ass. If we draft him and trade Bowe for a future first rounder and a pick this year, it might not be a bad move.

See Mike Wallace?

I Don't think too many teams are ponying up a 1st rounder and a fat contract at the moment.

Seriously???

Mike Wallace's salary demands are ridiculous.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported that Wallace wants a better deal than Larry Fitzgerald's eight-year, $120 million pact with the Cardinals. If there's any truth to the report, it isn't worth a team's time to even negotiate with Wallace.

I would imagine that Bowe is wanting something similar or Pioli would have already locked him up.

Possibly, which is why we may only want to tag and trade him.

whoman69 04-26-2012 12:25 PM

What a waste. Reporters are going all in on reporting even the most untrue of rumors out there. Such is the 24 hour news cycle.

Bowser 04-26-2012 12:30 PM

This is what we know for sure-

Nobody knows for sure what the Chiefs are planning to do. Nobody.

Chris Meck 04-26-2012 12:47 PM

While Bowe is super talented, I think we could all agree that he's been less than clutch.

I could see this happening, certainly more than a trade up to #3 for a LT.

aturnis 04-26-2012 12:54 PM

This was put out there by the Chiefs in order to try an get Bowe to sign his tender. Nothing more.

Just like our "love" for Barron was put out there to pressure Dallas into trading up into our spot.

You can't really be clutch when you don't have a QB who can get you the ball in clutch situations.
