If its anything like pulling a groin, I don't wish that shit on anyone.

I was probably 10 when the 1st one landed on me. I didn't weigh much more than it did, all dad said was you didn't have to catch it and those aren't your good clothes anymore.

P90x nearly made me a cripple the 1st time I did the reeruned one leg hopping cross shit. Took a couple months before it totally went away... Never again! Lots of pain killers and massage the first week helped.

Depends on how old you are.. If you are late 40o's on up only thing to fix it is time. ice, e-stim, i bpro all help to make it tolerable. I have been fighting them off and on for 5 years. My key seems to wait a month longer than it feels like the first time you want to do something.

Once you do it once, you're susceptible for recurrence of the same injury. I had never had a muscle related injury, but pulled mine a little over a year ago playing basketball. Thought it was a cramp at first, but boy was I wrong. Took me several months to get over it. I thought I was completely over it, but I've tried to run on the treadmill a couple of times in the last few months and any incline causes a twinge that takes me several days to get past. Needless to say, no more treadmill. Ice early and rest are the only remedy I'm aware of.

I did a number on mine about 14 years ago playing raquetball. Hurt like hell and I was black and blue from just above the ankle to the pit of my knee. No problems walking but if I had to make sudden moves or go any faster than a normal walk PAIN.
