I haven't been out there in a long time, but for crying out loud, if I recall correctly the only restaurant out there is a Denny's or something.

Originally, Lamar Hunt wanted to build the NASCAR track next to Arrowhead, out by where the practice facility is now. But he never got around to it, and Wyandotte County eventually beat them to it.

KK is talking about Pork Butts right now. If anybody knows about porky butts.....

Actually, the restaurants inside the stadiums are open during the off season, and are rented out for weddings and events and such.

Hi-Boy's, Dixon's Chili and Gates BBQ are fairly close to the sports complex.

I've had more drunken "victory burgers" at that Hi-Boy location than the workers there care to remember.

And there's that. He had just gotten both the 810 Zone down on the Plaza and the Western Auto building when he was in the middle of his boner for downtown baseball, iirc.

Correct - and based on some friends that are STILL renting out their condo at Western Auto, I'm sure he took a nice bath on it.

Raytown is within sight of the Sports Complex, but the stadium is in KCMO. Very close to the stadiums, Raytown, Independence and KC borders all meet.
