We would draft Jones though. He's obviously not talented enough to be good/great in the NFL. We like those kind of guys.
|
No to Landry Jones.
|
If Pioli is here, we won't be drafting a QB.
He will be on the hot seat, having accomplished jack shit in 2011 with Cassel. |
I still say we should have moved up and taken Tanehill.
The biggest reason I gave over and over was that "if we don't get one in 2012 draft, we are gonna **** up BIGTIME and draft Jones in 2013." Tannehills gonna struggle early on, but at least the ceiling is there. Poe and Stephenson better be good and Tannehill better suck. |

Charlie has us in the playoffs?

Bowe gets the franchise tag, Baldwin looks like a solid WR this year, we trade our 1st round pick and Bowe to a team for either Wilson or Bray.
Please. Dear God. This drought of no playoffs or first round QB's has got to stop. |
the thing is, we can draft a QB next year, but it could take multiple years for him to be ready to succeed. Then what will the team look like then? We are ready right ****ing now! A lot can change in 3-4 years.

A smart GM would have cut ties with Cassel and made a major play for a young QB. |

I've been saying that awhile now. Every draft has a QB expected to go high, and winds up being a piece of garbage somewhere around mid-March. Happened to Ryan Mallett, Nick Foles... the list goes on and on... Barkley and Wilson will be hot picks. I think Geno Smith will end up being a for sure top-10 overall pick. And then throw in a guy like Bray or Murray who will declare early. That's four QBs in the first round already. Landry Jones will figure to be the 5th or 6th best QB in the draft. Third round suits him well. |

If Jones is the best QB on the board when we pick, we should select him.
This place would have burned the **** down if we took Ryan, Flacco, or Freeman, and each would have been the right selection at the time and in hindsight. And if Jones busts? So the **** what? Draft another QB. |
