I really don't have a choice, I am not getting rid of that car ever, and it will be worth seeing her in her former glory. It sucks to have to spend a lot of money on something you didn't want or need, but I digress, so is life.

Did you think at all that it would have been OK if you had caught them in the act of doing it?

I know how you feel, I had my dog put down earlier this year.

I am so old that I remember when Earl Scheib would paint any car for $19.95, even when it went up to $29.95 it came with ten Dollars towards dent and ding repair. When you get it done please show before and after pics.

Both Maaco and Earl Scheib heat their paint in an effort to get it to lay down last I knew.

The name lives on but the corporate entity seems to have been relegated to the ash heap of history:

Effective July 16, 2010, Earl Scheib, Inc. has ceased operations nationwide. Each store is now independently owned and operated by a person unaffiliated with Earl Scheib, Inc. Based on this change, customer warranties of Earl Scheib, Inc. will no longer be able to be honored at these stores or by Earl Scheib, Inc. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, however we believe the independent owners and operators will continue to provide the same great service that Earl Scheib, Inc. offered for almost 80 years.

Ya, I remember too. $19.95 sixties, $29.95 during the early seventies. Here's the oldest I could find

$19.95? Wow. That's insane even when considering inflation.
