No beer? My glob, man. I could not survive.

You could try an elimination diet first. Slowly add back food till you find out what makes you feel crappy. Could be something like dairy.

If you're on a gluten free diet, its about a 50/50 shot you don't need to be on it.

No wonder its a 7 billion dollar a year industry.

Yea, you're right. I should let the doctors pump my little girl full of some unknown chemical instead of skipping a couple of glasses of milk or a couple of slices of bread. :thumb:

Never said that.

Good chance the issues could be environmental. The fact that this person told you to cut out all of these and not just try one at a time should raise a red flag.

She did say that. I was giving an overall view of what was going on.

Anyway, we have grown tired of hearing, "I don't know" so we went else where to seek a more natural approach to health. We got in contact with a Holistic Health Care Practitioner and she suggested to cut out the gluten, dairy, and sugar in her diet. We don't know if she is actually allergic to gluten, but at least she was able to give us a possible reason instead of just saying she didn't know and then try to dope my kid up.

Hope that works for your little girl.

My diet is inherently gluten free. I can't tell you for sure if it was the gluten, but pretty much every bodily function of mine has got better.

Did you go out and start buying "Gluten Free" stuff or do just avoid it all together?

I've been on a gluten free diet for almost two years now, but I have an actual gluten sensitivity. It used to screw with my stomach/digestion something terrible, but the last straw was when I got a small bowel obstruction because of it. That's actually dangerous. Whether or not you have a gluten allergy, cutting it out of your diet will do nothing but good for you.

Bwana 08-03-2012 06:32 PM

My wife has been doing it for three years. She would get some nasty headaches, but after going gluten free, they went away.

Get a new doctor (coming from someone who probably has as much experience in this area as anyone on this board, kids and drs.)
