.22's are deadly at close range.

Not another senseless gun related death. The horror. Oh, the horror.

My town is experiencing a rash of home burglaries, at night, while people are home. They're breaking doors or prying open windows and stealing purses, wallets etc.
Last night, a neighbor whom I've talked about in another thread(Gilbert Grape's mama) called reminding me that their home had been broken into this weekend and she'd seen someone at their window again. I told her if she'd shut up long enough, I'd go have a look.....because when seconds count, the police are minutes away. She said something about fearing they'd break into my house...and I told her "well, that's their bad Idea because inside this door, they'll get shot in the face". The old man in this story did it right. Good for him. |
Outstanding! It sounds like the old boy could use donations for a new .22. If he lived in Montana, I would run down to Cabela's, pick one up and drop it off myself, along with a few bricks of ammo.

The only part if this story I don't like is his comments about wishing another one would come up so he could kill another person. You shouldn't ever want to kill, it should be last resort. Not saying his actions weren't warranted but there are so many ppl out there just wanting any reason they can to shoot somebody. I hope I never have to kill anybody

A .22 is a very poor choice for a home defense weapon. |
