Starting about 6 a..m. Sunday, drivers should watch out for a slow-moving semi carrying a 684,192-pound transformer, mostly along Kansas 7 in Johnson County.
Combined, the truck and trailer are 258 feet long.
The equipment will be moved from Old U.S. 56 and Lone Elm Road in Olathe to Westar Energy property at 8949 Mize Road in Lenexa.
The route goes north on K-7 to 75th Street, where the truck will turn around and head south on K-7 to 83rd Street and then west.
All traffic will be stopped at 75th and K-7 for five to 10 minutes, likely between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., the Kansas Department of Transportation said.
Major delays are expected, and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
