Best bet for Clark is to keep quiet until the season is over, unless something major that breaks laws or league rules. Evulate the whole body of work and have your decision made by the last game of the season.

This is a huge mess...the Hunt's as a family will make some decisions soon...What a public nightmare....Lamar is rolling in his grave.

Clark needs to be doing his homework too. In the coming weeks he needs to be talking to people in his circle about what GM to hire next.

If he keeps Pioli after this season, his stadium is going to be empty next year. Not an ounce of support from season ticket holders.

I'll chip in with my two cents.

This whole situation on how the fanbase is furious that Pioli & co are starting Cassel and are reluctant to making a change, is where Clark should get involved.

Obviously, the fanbase is not pleased by the decision making that is going on. I think that is where the owner needs to step in and get involved by saying, "hey, we need to make a change here because what you guys are doing just isn't working." the fact that Clark isn't taking any action reflects who he is.

He is a hands off owner. He gives his GM's way too much power. In times like this, that is not a good thing. That is my reason where I believe one can say he is at fault.

I like Maas' idea to hire Marty as a consultant, as long as that's purely to consult and not to segway Marty into the GM or head coach role. I agree with Maas that Marty would be happy to do this.

While people mocked this idea... this isn't a decision Hunt should make on his own. Think Marty knows the league well enough to know what to look for in a GM, as well as know the chatter about who's good and who's bad. Hell, I bet a consultant would have steered Hunt away from Pioli. That's for sure.

Obviously this isn't the right 53. Crennel,Pioli and Cassel should be gone, oh and daboll

Clark better not let Pioli stay if he agrees to get rid of Cassel and draft a QB. After how he believed in Cassel so much to trade for him, pay him mega bucks, and stick with him so long and protect him from the possibility of failure as much as he could, Pioli isn't the guy I want choosing our next QB. Because it isn't going to be a no brainer. We aren't getting a #1 or 2 pick.
