New Orleans still has the best draft odds at 22% chance at drafting number 1. Of course they could keep playing better, I recognize that.

KC, Cleveland, Jacksonville, and Tampa are all bunched together after that, each with a 15% chance of drafting number 1.

Chiefs lose to Tampa this weekend and I think we are in the drivers seat for the #1 pick until the Cleveland game (which of course, we'll need to lose as well)

Go Orange teams this Sunday! (Tampa, Browns)

The Browns have drafted a QB in three of the last 7 drafts, two of those being first rounders. I'm not certain they will want to give up so quickly on Weeden as they realize the talent around him needs to mature and get better. I think the Jags will definitely look to replace Gabbert. Titans will probably stick with Locker. Raiders would look QB. Saints are locked into their choice as are the Panthers. Bucs could look to replace Freeman. Lions will not replace Stafford. Of the two win teams perhaps the Jets, Cowboys and Bills would be looking. So out of those teams plus the Chiefs we have the Jags, Raiders, Bucs, Jets, Cowboys and Bills to worry about. I don't expect the Cowboys to be that low as they will finish around .500. I think our competition will be the Jags and Raiders. As bad as we are, they may be worse.

to early to tell, wont know all that much til about week 10 imo.

You guys seem to forget that this is the hard part of our schedule. We're going to win some games.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go on a 3 game winning streak to beat the Raiders, Browns and Colts later in the year.

But still...5-11 at best.

The Browns have been in games and scored a few non garbage time points. They run the football. They are not awful on defense. They are definitely better than us.

Plus Haden is back this week so that should help them be more competitive.

Is it still possible that Barkley might go ahead of Smith next year or has Geno become the clear cut #1 guy?

Chief Roundup 10-09-2012 09:20 PM

To early to tell. There are to many things that can and will happen.

Depends on how Romeo/Daboll scheme with Quinn. If it's anything like the final drive against the Ravens (we actually passed the ball!) then it probably wont be us.

Going with the Browns.

I don't see him surpassing Smith, no. It took an Andrew Luck to beat out RGIII (and not by much, either). And Barkley is no Luck. Not even close.

Is it in the NFL? How is WVU being closer to Cleveland than KC give Cleveland any kind of advantage? Would Geno decline going to KC? NVM, scratch that question.
