Woody Paige is and idiot

Woody Paige is an idiot. Even if the Broncos do somehow make it to 12-4....they will not have a better record than Houston. Houston would have to 5-4 to finish the year with a worse record than the Donkeys, and Houston has already beat them head to head. Simply not happening, so Paige's playoff scenarios are complete BS.

Not sure who I would pick in the NFC. Giants have played well at times, but not every week. San Fran seems to be a hot pick, but they were whipped by the Giants. Right now I would have to lean towards Atlanta, although I still have some questions about their defense.
The Texans are clearly the best team in the AFC right now. They beat a 5-1 Ravens team today by 30. |

I don't think Atlanta is as good as their record. For me, in the NFC, it's the Giants, with the Pack following closely. In the AFC, it's all Texans, as long as Schaub can get through a full season. |
Texans peaked too early. Green Bay is just starting their climb. Same for NE.

I've eliminated the Chiefs from my list. I know it was sticking my neck out, but I was at a point that I needed the thin the field.

I don't think anyone would argue that the cream of the crop this season is:
Patriots Giants Texans 49ers Packers Falcons I listed them in order from best to worst, in my opinion. The Falcons will likely have homefield throughout thanks to their hot start but will get buried in the playoffs by either the 9ers, Giants or Packers. I'm hesitant to give the 9ers the nod after their last game against the New York; the Giants own them in head-to-head competition. So I think it would come down to the Pack and the Giants. Probably go ahead and give that one to the Giants again since they're far more complete. On the AFC side the only two teams that are scary in the least are the Pats and Texans. Either of them would destroy the Broncos/Chargers and the Ravens/Steelers are looking old and depleted. I'll give this one to the Texans in a grind-it-out, ball controlled game in Houston. Not exactly going out on a limb, but those would be the safest picks to put money on, in my opinion. |
texans packers.

I know this, if he doesn't wilt under the pressure of the playoffs, and can give that team what it needs at QB, the Texans defense can take both Brady, and certainly the great choker, out of their games. |
SF/Texans. I think they are the two best all around teams in the NFL.

The Broncos will be a non-factor in the playoffs. Peyton doesn't have the dome to protect him anymore and will likely have to go through either Foxboro, Houston (which would be his best option, weatherwise), Baltimore, or Pittsburgh in the middle of January.
He'll choke as usual. |
