QB, LT, DE (or pass rusher OLB), CB, WR.

That's it.
If the future Patrick Willis is available and you have a QB, you take the player.

That's like saying the Colts in 1997 shouldn't have drafted Peyton Manning because Ryan Leaf was considered to be just as good.

Sure there's always exceptions to the rule but lets be honest, there's only 1 Patrick Willis.

ILB just isn't enough of a big impact position to warrant that type of draft spot.

Trade down? Maybe (and that's assuming we still get that 1st round QB). But can't sit there and do it.

This is a very deep year for ILBs, too, kind of like how 2010 was a deep draft for safeties. Not saying Eric Berry wasn't the right pick, but it would have been easy to rationalize going a different direction at 5 then picking up a quality safety in the middle rounds.

3 years after the draft nobody cares about the position, just whether or not they are good players. If you've got a perennial pro bowler, you did well.

Dude if we get Teo we can keep Cassel and just run the ball 50 times a game and go 7-9 by winning games 9-6.
