That's it? I want one. ...if you watch alot of tv on it does it require a great deal of maintenance?

I have a 65 inch DLP 1080p.... Watch it ALL the time and hasnt died. 3 yrs old and bought it new. Love it but not quite big enough. .. nothing can't quite be to big when we are talking about tvs

55" LG smart tv.....got it because one of my suppliers gave it to me.

BTW OP, go to AVSForum, and look for the forum for your TV, use the posted settings to calibrate your tv and save a couple hundred bucks.

Nope. Just needs a new bulb every 4000 hours or so.

In the basement - Runco LS-5 DLP projector w/ anamorphic lens attachment to project onto a 150" screen

Basement bar - 55" Samsung 3D LED

Living Room - 65" Mitsubishi DLP

Bedroom - 46" Panasonic Viera LCD

A few 32" Samsung LCD's scattered around the house.

I think I have a problem.

Just bought a 39" Panasonic at BestBuy for $375. It's great. Very pleased with the purchase.

I had to buy one because my 55" Samsung DLP started fritzing out two weeks ago. I've had it 6 years. It's incredible. It's like a loved one being in the hospital on life support: should I pull the plug? Or get it repaired, with the possibility of it fritzing again in a year or two and being out $250-400 in repairs?

Damn that's about the same price I paid for my 70.

Don't have the space right now for a screen that big but when the basement is finished I will.

You don't need a huge room at this point. At my old condo, I had a small english basement that was like 12x14 and I set up a theater in there with a 106" screen and it worked great. The projectors nowadays don't need to be a huge distance from the screen.

When I bought my new house a couple years ago it came with an unfinished basement with 10' ceilings so I went crazy with it.

42" Philips plasma in the man cave. Bought it around 2006 and still going strong.

37" Sanyo LCD in the family room. It was cheap and has a great picture.

19" CRT in the bedroom. It's mainly used to watch news at night and in the morning. Don't need anything fancy for that.
