The NFL is stupid for lusting over Europe. They should focus on Mexico and Canada instead. It would open new markets without major travel problems. Canadians are about as American as we are and there are over 11 million Mexican people living in the US now. Also, there is no way the NFL is going to replace soccer as the Euopian sport of choice.

You don't have to replace it to make a shit ton of money. This whole Ricky Bobby if you're not first you're last mentality is funny.

Both the EPL and the NFL are the biggest and most popular leagues in the world. They both feel like they have saturated their own markets and are trying to get market share on the other side.
