You really think this FO is going to spend two 2nd round picks on a 27 year old QB.....publicly say that he's their guy....and then turn around and spend the first overall pick on a QB?

I disagree. The Chiefs will pick first again next year with Alex Smith at quarterback. The perfect spot to draft another DL.

The only positive is that my budget will not be absorbing a PS3/4 and Sunday Ticket to watch our shiny new QB.

I am not ruling out anything right now. I can remember a shitload of people thinking Pioli was still going to be the GM because he was in the meeting with Reid.

No way. There is no good to this trade, and it's already a done deal, 100% guarantee that nothing good will come from this trade. CP told me so. :)

Okay, so flame away, im used to it. I get it all the time on the 49ers board. Two years ago, the 49ers hired Jim Harbaugh. Everyone cheered. The 49ers then said they were keeping alex smith, place melted down. 20-6, two seasons later and a super bowl appearance Alex Smith is dropped on your door step under a coach who has a similar philosophy, and a great running attack. This team is going to finish no worse than second in the division. You arent going to turn the ball over. It is going to be okay. Seems like crap today. There is nothing that Geno Smith was going to offer this year that is better than what Alex Smith is going to give the Chiefs.

The fact that we could still draft Geno in the 1st is something I said in the other thread, but that got missed amongst all the whining. I think it's still a possibility too.
