Because there are younger, cheaper players available. Plus, if he's going to comeback it for a shot at the SB. That's not happening here this season.

At this point I don't think it's about the money. Going out with a playoff win is possible now but come back next year could go either way. Matt Ryan typically crumbles in the playoffs

I think it is ALWAYS about the money in the NFL. At least that is priority #1.

And There is absolutely nothing wrong with that if one chooses that course...

I was going to say 'all of sports' but a lot of time in the NBA the mega superstars who make hundreds of millions like Shaq or Malone will sign 1 years towards the end of their careers with contenders to try and get a ring or more rings.
