One night when I was playing Taboo with my parents, my dad and I were on a team. My dad is usually not a person who likes party games because he often doesn't know who the people on the cards are. Yet in his grumbly nature, he's somehow always able to perform miracles. And at times, he's downright brilliant.
It was my turn to give the clue. "Luke Joeckel" was the puzzle, and I wasn't allowed to say the following words: tackle, Texas A&M, aggies, shitty, Mike Mayock, franchise killer I was totally stumped. Those were all words I was going to use. So after a handful of seconds I finally shrugged my shoulders and said, "Fat." My dad paused and looked at me with one eyebrow raised for a few seconds then shook his head as if to say, "Isn't it obvious?" "Luke Joeckel." |
Here's an interesting Joeckel fact: he is a twin.

<marquee><blink>JOECKEL! JOECKEL! JOECKEL! JOECKEL! JOECKEL! JOECKEL! JOECKEL! JOECKEL!

If we sign Albert to a long term deal then we have to go DE. If Albert's status is up in the air then he's the pick.

He's not a road-grader, and doesn't really play with the pissed-off intensity of Albert in the run game. He's a natural left tackle. Basically Sam Baker, but bigger and stronger. Total technician though. Gets low in his stance, kickslides perfectly, mirrors perfectly. Just... not very mean. Doesn't really punish or wear down defenders. Just beats them. His biggest challenge is going to be against bigger, powerful passrushers which he'll see more often on the right. |
