Congratulations Steve. I have never heard anything really bad about they guy. I don't get the hate. He made it big, got a young wife, had a baby which he can more than take care of financially. Sounds like an awesome life to me.

She looks pretty attractive in that picture. No reason to stop mattress-mounting her just because you're 67.

I'm not hating on Steve Martin. I just think it's kind of shitty to wait so long to have a kid, who'll at the very least spend most of his life without a parent he can really do much with. It's not like Steve Martin only hit it big in the last couple of years.
He's 67. I mean, maybe lives another 30 years, and is active and healthy for most of it. But probably not. I'm sure the kid will have millions of dollars, but he probably won't have a dad very long. |

Riiiiiight....yeah. There will always be worse situations. But why isn't this guy wrapping up at this age? So unfair to the child to die on him when he's going thru those tough teen years. |
His wife is 41?
Jesus. She looks like 26 in the OP's pic. |

Its not like the child of a huge celebrity was going to have a normal life anyway.

Riiiight...so it doesn't matter if dad dies before you get your drivers permit.

Plus Mom's plenty young enough to raise him and if something happens prematurely to Dad she'll have the financial wherewithal (as you alluded) to get by as a single parent better than virtually all others. |

I just wouldn't categorize their behavior as irresponsible. I think of irresponsible as people having babies they can't support/raise. That doesn't appear to be the case here based on what little is known of them. |
