I buy the shit in 2.5 gallon jugs here..

I mixed up a batch of vinegar, salt, and dishwashing liquid once and was surprised by its effectiveness.

Oh yea... if you want to terminate an area of weeds you can just pour boiling water on it, that will kill it to...

The Vinegar & salt won't kill the root

Easy on the salt boss, salt will sterilize your ground. They used to pour it on Bindweed in the days before chemicals to sterilize the ground.

Good to know, but I used about a tablespoon a few years ago, so I'm not super concerned.

Something safe for weed control for Buffalo grass during the summer months? I realize that Roundup is fine, as long as the grass is dormant (after two freezes), but that's not doing justice now.

You can usually tell what is going to die from 2-4-D within a day or two. If his tomato plants are still alive three weeks later that isn't it. Mohillbilly could tell you what he should do for his mater's.

Hog's Gone Fishin 06-15-2013 07:38 PM

Yeah, I use salt on sewer lines where tree roots are a problem.

Ace Gunner 06-15-2013 07:40 PM

curly leaves is somewhat normal for tomato plants. I would try increasing nitrogen.

MOhillbilly 06-15-2013 07:41 PM

In call bullshit. Unless you fogged the yard.

Ace Gunner 06-15-2013 07:44 PM

also I concur with mo - eat shit n die

What is the most powerful herbicide available?

What is the nuclear option? I'd love to know.

Glyphosate. (Roundup) for anything growing in your yard short of a tree.

I remember using Tordon on stumps and shit when I was younger. I just didn't know if anyone was aware of a crazy-powerful option.
