Mormon. Didn't drink.

"His son, former BYU receiver Toby Christensen, told The Associated Press that his liver problems started 25 years ago after a "botched" gall bladder operation."

Liked him 'American Gladiators'. :)

I don`t have enough posts here to put in a link but if you go to you tube... type in "Todd Christensens speech at 2007 sports spectacular ..." you will see a speech that goes far beyond football. Good man gone

I always liked Christensen and Allen.

met todd back during my radio broadcast days, good guy. died on his birthday -- RIP

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him; so very well spoken all the time; excellent perspective all things.

Gone too soon that's for sure.

Much too soon. I didn't know he had been suffering from liver disease, but figured "something" unusual had to have happened for him to die so young. I absolutely HATED him when he played ONLY because he was a Raida, but RESPECTED his game. He could play for my team any day.

R.I.P. Todd Christensen.

He was a good guy and will be missed by many.

RIP

FishingRod 11-14-2013 10:26 AM

RIP He was good.

I couldn't stand him as a player. Couldn't. Stand. Him. he was annoying and egotistical and his stats were inflated by the fact that he was listed as a tight end even though he couldn't block. But the hate more or less went away when he retired and stopped annoying me.

However, since I'm 50 I hate to see a 57 year-old person die of natural causes. That starts to hit close to home.

htismaqe 11-14-2013 11:53 AM

He didn't die of natural causes. He died of liver disease brought on, according to his son, by a botched gall bladder operation.
