I don't necessarily agree with this. The chiefs were the most improved AFCW team last year and it wasn't even close...give this regime a full season + offseason and see what they can do. We may not do better than 11 wins next season, but I'd be willing to bet we don't go 0-4 against SD and DEN again...

How much of that was improvement and not a product of having an actual coaching staff and a cake walk of a schedule?

Unless Dorsey drafts the next Calvin Johnson and Ed Reed with a late 1st and 3rd rounder whilst finding Lamb's replacement the Chiefs will struggle to go more than a game over .500 next season.

I agree. His wounded ducks are still landing exactly where he wants them to. Why not have his name on the top of every single passing category for the next 20 years?

I see PM playing 4-5 more years, why wouldn't he?

You make good points but it's called possibly living the rest of your life in a wheel chair if he takes that one hit that puts him there. You could say that about any NFL player but he is far more vulnerable to that hit and situation than any other player. How much $$ do you need ? Is it worth the risk just to say you have more SB rings than your little bro ??

When was the last time manning got hit?

Mr. Laz 02-02-2014 03:12 PM

1. I think assuming Manning only has 1 year left is rash
2. by the time Manning leaves many of our best players will be gone as well

We need to make moves to beat Manning not wait until he leaves

Going forward it will be about who drafts the best imo

I agree. I think he loves playing the game and won't quit until he can no longer play at a high level.

If Manning wins the ring this year I think he goes out on top. I'm almost rooting for him to win today so that he will get the **** out of Dodge...

Hammock Parties 02-02-2014 03:52 PM

There is no way that Chargers team is getting worse.

Simply Red 02-02-2014 03:54 PM

I think this is a very interesting thing to think about. Nice thread actually.

Forget it, if he wins he'll be back in 2014 looking to defend the crown... Elway sounded absolutely positive about it this morning, didn't seem at all like a guy trying to convince himself of it either, it sounded like a forgone conclusion.

Peyton said it earlier in the week too, and sounded like he meant it. He'll be back.
