It is kind of amazing that Nebraska has settled for Bo Pelini's mediocrity for as long as they have now.

With their tradition, facilities, financial resources, etc. they should be able to still attract a top flight HC. If Penn State in bowl banishment hell can attract a guy like James Franklin, Nebraska should have their pick of pretty much anyone.

Al Golden

That's absolutely hilarious. The cat looks terrified, tho

I thought this was a Photoshop. I was wrong.

NewChief 04-12-2014 11:16 PM

I can't stop laughing at this. It almost makes me like Pelini.

80% (at least) of Miami fans want Al Golden fired.

And Golden has more legit excuses than Bo Pelini… NCAA sanctions/drawn out investigation, etc.

Again it seems like Nebraska and their fans are content with Pelini's mediocrity.

The irony of your statement: Pelini was on both Penn State and Miamis list of coaches they wanted to hire.

BWillie 04-13-2014 12:27 AM

Hahahha I didnt think I liked Bo. This is effing hilarious

OrtonsPiercedTaint 04-13-2014 04:54 AM

It's a trap Kaepernick, don't go to Nebraska to scratch that itch

Pelini is Bear Bryant compared to the last couple clowns they brought in there, who were raped repeatedly by the Big 12 South. (5-18 vs them before they ran off to the BIG). They're happy with 9-4 because being worse is far more likely than being better.

Callahan was next level bad. Like Radio bad. But at an elite program instead of KU. I was up there when he came. I actually felt bad for my friends that were Husker fans.

I didn't think the guy before him was that bad ( for the life of me I can't remember his name). But I thought he got a raw deal. I think he was better than Pelini.

Solich... He was a good coach but NU hired a douche AD who wanted a flashy offense, (Peterson). Solich got a very raw deal. Christ, he took his team to the Natl championship game and was fired a year later due to "mediocrity."

In comes Callahan and I call those years the "Golden Years."
It was awesome watching them get raped at OSU and TT.

Bugeater 04-13-2014 10:29 AM

Ehh...he was actually fired two years after that Natl title game that he was only in due to an improbable string of events that will likely never be replicated again.

Frank Solich won with Osbornes players
