What's fake about a true story?

Did you really expect that to be about the NFL quarterback Peyton Manning?

??

Omaha coke is the best.

It's not a fake headline. It doesn't say "Peyton Manning, Broncos QB, arrested".

It is not a fake headline, but rather a misleading headline. When you hear the name Peyton Manning, there is only one person you think of. For that split second, you think the football player may have done something bad.

The point of the original article is to drive traffic to HuffPost. Even though most people realize it's not the football player even before the page loads, they click on the link anyway. The thread starter thought they would capitalize off that same principle to drive traffic to his post. I'm not sure if that is punishable here, but I guess we will find out.

Just for the record, I don't care one way or the other.

The poster knows it's a fake headline. That's why he said "Bye everyone".

That being said, I wouldn't ban him. Anybody who really believed this was about the Donkey's quarterback is so stupid that THEY should be banned.

I want to liiiiiiiiiiiveeeeeee.....

Eh, it's the offseason and I saw an interesting headline.
And if I do get cut down, then I can come back as "KCtothe#1DraftPick"

You cared enough to type up a short story on it

What kind of sub-idiot names their daughter Peyton Manning? Prison was probably her fate.

stonedstooge 05-19-2014 06:02 PM

She's got her dad's forehead

chiefzilla1501 05-19-2014 06:03 PM

I usually hate this stuff, but cmon, this story is pretty funny.
