Orton is definitely better than he gets credit for, but better than Smith?... you just never quit, you seem to enjoy digging latrine pits for yourself to wallow in.

Jackson hasn't been ruled out, has he?

Didn't he hurt himself when Spiller went out too.

This is going to be a tough one. Doubt we win.

Our next 5 games is the toughest part of our schedule. In Buffalo next week, then come home to the Seahawks. Afterward we off to Oakland, and then back for Denver. Finally we go to Arizona to play the best team in the league right now (who happens to have the ONLY other coach I wanted besides Reid). We need to win 3 of those games.

If we want to be a playoff team, you absolutely have to go over .500 in that stretch. Oakland should be a gimme. Seattle luckily for us is bi polar. Manic at home, and depressed on the road. Buffalo is the other spot for a win. Denver is in our heads, and Arizona is the toughest of them all in my mind.

I just feel like we need to beat Buffalo, Seattle, and Oakland to make the playoffs this year. From there we have more work to do, but if we can't handle our business in the next 5 games, it won't matter.

He's a better QB who has played on worse teams.

Alex is like the luckiest son of a bitch on earth.

Wait, i thought the first month was the toughest part of our schedule? Why does this narrative keep changing?

yeah, Spiller went on IR eligible to return, but I think Jackson just hurt his groin and had a 3-4 week timetable. Wouldn't surprise me I guess if he doesn't dress, but I don't think anything is confirmed at this point.

I'm waiting for Direkshun to break down the box score and post his LNBS thread.

Spiller and Jackson should be sidelined for this game, so that will help our chances....but Buffalo has been a house of horrors for the Chiefs for the most part, so I'm cautious on what are chances are.

Because the Bills and Cardinals are pretty good.

Kyle Orton got injured on the first play he did with the Chiefs 3 or 4 years ago. Yeah, no wonder the Broncos got rid of him when they did. He sux! The Chiefs' defense would be fooling themselves to not think they could shut him down next week. Sack Orton at least 3 times in the game, and he's toast.

They run well, and play good run defense.

We are in for a hell of a fight. The middle of our DLine is going to get destroyed.

Fred Jackson was told his groin injury typically comes with a four-week timetable.
Jackson says he'll try to beat that timetable and hasn't ruled himself out of returning for Week 10. But given the severity of his injury and how difficult it is for running backs to overcome soft-tissue pulls, Week 11 or 12 seems more realistic. His adductor longus pulled off the bone about a centimeter. Jackson remains a hold for owners if possible, especially with tasty matchups against the Packers and Raiders in Weeks 15 and 16. C.J. Spiller (collarbone) is out for the year. Oct 20 - 9:10 AM

Dixon and Brown will start probably.
