The real problem is they have no qb that can play right now. If Manuel comes back before the season, he's basically Geno Smith with less arm talent and a touch more NFL success. If the kid is a warrior in film practice and study, Tresman may help him (or whoever ends up being).

Also, aren't they light a first rounder? Without looking I think they're short either a first or a second and it is tough to go find a qb and spend any resources. I don't know what FA QBs are available but that could get ugly. Quick.

Buffalo drafted a 1st round QB recently, he was hurt this season, and that's why they were starting Orton. So they should be fine at QB.

I don't know when he was scheduled to be back. And there isn't a lot of consensus that he's the man. Not that analysts have never been wrong of course.

I don't know if you could say it's a "Shit hire." Depends on if you think Rex is a good coach or not. He certainly knows the division. He'll be motivated to beat the Jets, he has experience against Hoodie. Let's see who he gets as the OC. If he gets Testerman, they could have a formidable team in a hurry. Buffalo has been a real sleeper the last couple years. I think they could be the next big thing in the AFC East after Brady retires.
