This sits on my counter downstairs. As a matter of fact I'm going to go turn it on now. |

Quite frankly, and I know I'm going to get drawn and quartered for this, but a vast majority of the coffee I drink is folgers, with a little of this in it.

Oh, I should add, the only thing I'm snobby about is the water. I only use RO water in my pot. I can't stand coffee brewed with town water or well water.

I generally start my day off with an auto-drip of something shitty and cheap (Chock Full o Nuts, Eight O'Clock Bean, or Community are my go to coffees for morning brew).
The wife and I both have 3-4 cups in the morning, so we're going for economics on that. I generally have a noon french press at work. It's a great ritual for me as I transition into the teaching part of my work day (morning, I"m generally doing administrative work) and gives me a jolt to help with my instruction and dealing with teenagers. Sumatran locally roasted by a local coffee shop is my goto bean for my press. I'll do some Ethiopian as well on occasion. I buy in half pound increments, as I like it fresh roasted and think it goes kind of stale after a week or so. I also drink a lot of cold brew in the summer, though we haven't started making our own yet. I'm probably going to tackle that this summer, as the shop we get our cold brew form is pricey. My local coffee shops that I use: Onyx Coffee Lab (great 3rd wave roasterie/shop). Airship Coffee (my college roommate owns this company which does sustainable sourcing of beans as a sort of "mission" work). If you want wholesale green beans, he's a great source. Baba Boudan's : this is my personal favorite because it's just a cranky old family owned place that's been roasting their own coffee and doing it right since before people ever talked about "waves" of coffee movements. He doesn't take credit cards and refuses to do cold brew because he says it no longer tastes like coffee. He knows my wife and kids by name, and we know his wife and kids as well and tells us bad jokes every time we go. |

Usually brew 2 carafes a day, put it in my Thermos to keep it hot and set it by my desk. |
My day always starts with a pot of blackest Cains and a little shot of this:

If I drank that much coffee, my heart would beat out of my chest until it gave up the ghost and just died. |
I'm easy. I like the Gevalia Costa Rica blend black. That's about it. Some other Gevalia blends are alright, I guess that's what I usually get. If we buy K-cups I like Green Mountain Breakfast Blend black.
Don't care enough to really venture outside of a few different brands/flavor profiles considering I probably drink six to eight cups a week of the stuff. I do have an iced tea preference because I drink a shitload more of it. A couple of bags of Luzianne cold brew and one disc of Blackberry Sage from Republic of Tea makes my preferred iced tea. |
