I wished my mother a happy birthday in heaven today for the 16th time. While time does not heal my wounds, it does dull them until special days come around. It's been a rough day. You have my heartfelt condolences.

I hear ya. My mom's is April 9th and it's been 7 years. I try not to think of it but I always do.

I was raised by my Aunt and Uncle from the time I was 7 due to unfortunate circumstances outside of my mom's control, but was always very close to her. I lost her suddenly and unexpectedly at 21 and will never ever forget the day that the light inside my soul faded to black when I learned that she was gone. That sounds horrible but you only get 1 true mother and I think anyone who has lost theirs can relate entirely to that last statement. God bless, bud.

I am very sorry for your loss. It is good that your mother was with him at the end, though that had to be extra hard for her. I pray you and your family find consolation and comfort in each other and your friends.
