I haven't lived in Ks since the 70s, and I moved away from Missouri in 96, so I don't really remember. Based on my memories from 96, I say Missouri.

Most in the country? Florida.

Having lived in Ohio for a good chunk of my life, there are a lot of rednecks here.

There is an inordinate amount of white trash in Ohio, too. Mostly concentrated around eastern/northeastern Ohio.

Kansas has more of that Plains feel. It's a different type of dumb. Kansas people may be uglier, but Missouri is more redneck.

Springfield is out of control with something. I don't know what to call it. They are all smoking, recently coming off a meth high, missing teeth and pissed.

They litter any street that has 4 lanes with a center turn lane.

Being a Missourian and living in Missouri you'd think I'm biased, but you'd think wrong. I've spent a good portion all over both States working in the last year or two. Missouri by a mile. Kansans are just hayseed hicks. Not nearly as trashy as some of the gems I've come across here in Missurah.

Woah, woah, thats going too far. I don't think you even see many hillbillies in Kentucky until you get into the eastern areas.

Rednecks are very educated, cultured hillbillies. Even cajuns (well some) are more refined than hillfolk.

In the same boat as you are Predarat, moved from KC to Nashville. What you're describing is the difference between redneck and hillbillies. My neighbors are some of the best people you could meet but they are, by their own admission, hillbillies. Hillbillies are good ole down home folks like you say.

Whenever i've traveled to places outside the bible belt, I feel like a pretty big redneck.
