9-7, 7th seed in the AFC behind Buffalo and Miami. Mark it the **** down. And that's being optimistic. They're probably going to finish sub -.500 based on how hard the schedule is. |

After Manning scrapped Kubiak's offense and started going no-huddle, they started moving the ball. Manning is still the same guy; he's just playing behind a much worse offensive line in an offensive system that doesn't match his strengths. With their defense and Manning doing his thing, they're a 13 win team. We barely lost to them in a game in which we gave up 5 turnovers. Seriously. We gave them the ball twice backed up behind our own 20 and another on our side of the field with DAT's fumble and still only allowed 24 points. Our defense is top notch and will stifle all but the very best of offenses. Do you honestly expect to see another game this season in which we commit 5 turnovers? |

But this isn't a double digit winning team barring actually earning a playoff victory. The ceiling is 9-7 and that's not going to be good enough for a berth this year. |

We AREN'T the better team. We were pretty evenly matched heading into this thing and we shit directly down our legs to concede the better team title to Denver. We'll just have to live with that until we beat them. I know, that's never going to happen.

but our offense, mainly the QB/HC is playing defense against our elite defense. Thats how we are going to lose the games we lose this year; our inconsistent offense. |

But whatever. It should have been obvious to anyone that the combination of Smith, Reid, a good but not great defense wasn't going to produce a better result than last season. |

I mean, we are the better team and all that. |
