Would you be willing to suffer through another season of Alex Smith? This is assuming that the rookie sits for the 1st season to get a handle on the offense. This also makes it so the Chiefs don't have to take a huge cap hit to cut Smith.

Well...we don't have a choice, other not going to the games (I'm already there) and not watching on TV (but a scheduled trainwreck on noon Sunday is still hard to miss).

Chiefs luck would be draft a QB, Smith rides the luck into a 13-3 type season and the true fans go nuts and our new toy never gets a chance until its too late.

Not really. Reid has been a failure with the offense the last two years. I don't want to give him another 4 years with a rookie starting in 2017.

Purge and let the new HC pick his guy for his system. And, I really don't want Smith to be the mentor.

Ideal is to draft a R1QB and sit him behind Drew Brees for 2 seasons after Smith is released and signs with the Jets.

The key to the poll is "drafting a first-round quarterback".

I can understand the Alex Smith problem. Andy was a good-bet hire by Clark, and Andy thought he could make Alex great. They tried it, and it's not working. Clark has shown a willingness to cut bait and move on when something's not working, so I think he'll do the same here.
