These dumbshits ruin my day far too often.

I hate shitty drivers.

I despise them.

People that don't know how a four-way stop works.

People that refuse to pull into the intersection on a green light left turn yield.

People that come almost to a complete stop while turning into a parking lot or driveway.

Yes. If the speed limit is 65 mph, and I'm in the left lane going 72 mph. There is technically no reason you ever should need to pass me. In fact, you would be breaking the law by doing so. When I approach someone going slower than me in the left lane, you know what I do? I just pass them in the right lane, and I don't think anything of it. And my day goes on just fine. When I'm in the city driving in the left lane, I usually, you know, live over there and am expecting a left turn up ahead soon.

Usually when I'm in the left lane, I'm passing another driver, but apparently I'm not passing them as fast as the crazed lunatic behind me wants. And that is usually what you guys are bitching about anyway.

I also text while I'm driving, and I mount my phone and watch movies on long trips. Really makes it go by. Been doing it for years.

I also have no road rage issues like most of you. I don't have a personal vendetta against people who accidentally didn't see me and cut me off, or made a mistake while driving. We all make mistakes. I don't huff and puff acting all big and bad trying to ride peoples bumpers or flip them off as I go by because, that will show 'em!

I personally don't mind that as long as the person isn't getting into the left lane long before they're actually passing someone and they don't spend 5 minutes doing it.

For all the stupid shit r8ers says, he once said as a truck driver he just wants people to GTF away from him, and I couldn't agree more... it grinds my gears when there's a cluster of cars out in the middle of no where because a couple of dumb****s are incapable of passing a truck. OTOH, sometimes it's the person being passed who decides to speed up.

Road etiquette is just mind boggling to some people. See above.

When I'm in the left lane I go ten miles over the speed limit. Yet my girlfriend tells me I'm a dick for not getting over for the people that want to go 20 over the speed limit. The argument I present to her is I'm only a dick if I'm already technically speeding and yet you still feel the need to get right up on my ass. I'll get over if the right lanes are clear, but I'm not getting over just to get myself stuck behind slower moving traffic because you feel the need to speed more than I currently already am. Yet my girlfriend still calls me a dick.

Your girlfriend is right. The left lane is for PASSING not cruising. It doesn't matter how fast you're driving.

Nzoner 11-13-2015 09:11 AM

The driver that pisses me off more than any other is the one that blows by me and then within 5 miles or so has slowed down in the fast lane because they're either on a call or texting.

You actually aren't supposed to do this and it is unsafe. If you pull out into the intersection on a green light, waiting to turn left you put yourself in danger and can get into no mans land where you are either stuck in the middle of the intersection on a green light or have to turn left on a red light. When I used to do auto claims I used to get a kick out of that type of accident, they would always say the other person didn't stop for them.

So lets say you are approaching an intersection with a green solid light with two lanes in each direction going straight, and a left hand turning lane that has a solid green light as well. You decide to go out into the intersection and stop, even though there is bumper to bumper traffic going fast in the opposite direction. You sit there and sit there, no opening in sight, and then the light starts to turn yellow. Still no opening. It turns red, and now you are shit out of luck. If you would have stopped and waited back before entering the intersection you wouldn't have put yourself in this predicament. Now, you are forced to make your left turn while the light is red. And bam! You are T-boned by another vehicle. You claim the other person is solely at fault, but the reality is you are both at fault, and you are at fault more than the other guy. Not only did you run a red light, you also failed to yield while making a left hand turn.

Or people who pass you on the left then get back in the right and drive slower than you were.

Bullshit. You're supposed to. At least that's what every driving school in MO teaches. If the light turns red while you're waiting you have the right of way to finish your turn.

If someone is going 70 mph in the right lane, and I'm going 72 mph. It's going to take me a while to pass them, you know.

Yeah, there's no point in getting all road ragey, but it doesn't matter how fast you're going, it's just not that hard to get the **** over if someone wants to pass you. I don't get ticked off every single time I pass someone on the right, or else I would have stroked out by now, but it's simply safer if everyone follows the simple rules.

The other day there was some dumbass in the left lane with clearly no intention of passing a truck, but in my quest to pass both on the right, the truck started getting over a lane, too and was halfway over before realizing I was there.... and of course I'm the dumb driver who was doing something stupid, even though I had given the dumbass and the truck all day to get over. So... get over.

+1. Excellent job.

Now, for people going under the speed limit, not passing anyone, they have no real reason to be in the left lane. But the guy going ten over in the left lane is really a bigger asshole than the guy going 20 over, honking at you, riding your bumper 10 inches away? Which one do you think causes the most accidents and deaths every year?
