its Whatever chiefs deserve to have an offensive meltdown later this season watch us cut/trade Foles at the end of the season Orton style just so alex doesn't have to stress about losing his job Chiefs style.

Nobody actually thought Reid was going to say or do anything different than this.

But if ...

"We didn’t have to cut a thing out for Nick coming in. That was a win-win for both guys. To think one would’ve done better than the other, I don’t believe that. If Alex would’ve been in, we would’ve done the same thing."

... Why pay one of them a big pile of money?

I hate alex smith and never wanted him here to begin with but he is our best chance at winning for the remainder of this season , barring injury or a losing streak of 3+

If we are going to win another playoff game we cant be ****ing around....we need to roll with Alex

That being said I really hope we do SOMETHING to prepare for post-smith life..because that time is coming soon. This will be alex's 12th year in the league....
Its time to start looking forward.

The common denominator is ownership. We will see where it goes but so far the signs are familiar.

So not being gutless equals inserting Nick Foles into the QB position? A .500 type QB that throws more deep balls? That is what your solution is to beating those "big name" teams?

I dont think thats fair....i dont think if he was in a system like this he would be a 500 type QB.

46 td 17 int in about 25 games with philly.....i think in this system he would flourish....Philly may have been a 500 team but this team isnt....

Its not like putting Foles in would suddenly cost us 5 games. But it might cost 1-2 while he learns and grows...We just cant spare those 1-2 games right now.

Fair is fair....I like to be consistent in my logic. Smith is the best choice right now, but dont sit there and tell me foles would be 500 on this team.

Was it not a nice change of pace to see some Deep balls for a change I'm just saying there are people on here who think Smith is a Top 10 QB (he has not been playing anywhere near that this season)Foles played better then smith.

Pretty much. Foles is fun but Smith is old faithful.

if any QB not Smith completed downfield passes anti-alex fans would be clamoring for him. THe season will play itself out

Because why change quarterbacks when you can trot out:

23rd in passing
22nd in TDs
22nd in YPA
27th in YPC
25th in YPG
28th in QBR
